All students with type 1 diabetes (juvenile diabetes) need a strong support network at school to help them properly manage their type 1 diabetes on a daily basis. Cultivating good relationships with school staff is key. JDRF has developed a new resource to support and empower families as they communicate with school staff throughout the year.
Teens and kids will build one-on-one relationships where kids can get a peek at life as a teenager (with type 1 diabetes), and teens can be role models. Everyone can have fun participating together in activities such as bowling, ice skating, pool parties and more. All events are free or low cost.

JDRF offers a variety of local and national e-publications to help you stay connected to the information you care about.
