Welcome to the Spring Fling website. The 2010 Spring Fling was held on Friday, March 12, 2010 at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay. Thanks to our generous sponsors and passionate volunteers, the 2010 Spring Fling raised over $600,000 for type 1 diabetes research! In its 9 year history, Spring Fling has raised nearly $5,000,000.

Every half hour, someone is diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and there is no cure. People with type 1 diabetes become insulin dependent for life and live everyday with the constant threat of devastating complications.
Now in its 40th year of passionate activism, JDRF has awarded more than $1.4 billion to diabetes research since its founding. JDRF funding and leadership is associated with most scientific breakthroughs in type 1 diabetes research to date. Today, JDRF funds more than 1,000 research projects (including the Artificial Pancreas Project) and 42 human clinical trials in 22 countries around the world, more than any other charity. JDRF remains focused, energized, creative and efficient. In a typical year, over 85% of JDRF expenditures directly supports research and research related education.
